We are off to a fantastic start in Room 202! Thank you to all the families and friends that have helped us transition to 3rd grade!!

A couple of quick announcements:

  1. Open House is next week – September 14th! Come by, meet the teacher, see the classroom!
  2. Conferences are ALWAYS available. Email me at cdgarcia@cps.edu and we can set up a time to discuss your student’s progress to date.
  3. There is a new procedure on the first and last day of each week! Teachers have an extra 15 minutes of planning time twice a week. In order to insure that students are getting the maximum educational benefit as teachers plan, K-5th grade students will be escorted into the Auditorium at 8:45 am for a community meeting led by Administration.  All parents who are available are asked to help get students to the building but to leave their student at the door. This will insure a smooth transition into the school day. School staff will lead the students into the Auditorium and then make sure they get to class, where I will be waiting at the door. 🙂

Thank you again for a great week!
